TESS 'S TASTY KALE CHIPS

FROM THE CELBRATED KITCHEN OF THE COUNT-"TESS" BASSIE.

This is a recipe I modified from my friend Rose's response to my FB query: "Does anyone know what in the heck to do with kale?"
You need a food dehydrator for this to get the right crispiness.

  • 1 - 2 bunches kale
  • 3/4 Cup Tahini
  • 1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 Cup Vinegar
  • 1/4 Cup Tamari Soyua Sauce
  • 2 Finely Chopped Scallions
  • 1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 1/2 Cup Water

  • Wash and remove the spines from the kale leaves, then tear and spin dry. Place in a large bowl

Mix all other ingredients together into a pastre and oour over. Massage paste into kale leaves, then lay leaves in single layers on dehydrator racks, and dehudrate till dry.

These store well, last quite a qhile, and make a great travel snack.
